Who is eligible for the D-10 visa?

Foreign graduates of Korean universities (any degree) and overseas Bachelor's degree holders who meet the points-based threshold. Points are awarded for age, education, Korean proficiency (TOPIK), and prior Korean residency.

Do I need my ARC before my household goods arrive in Korea?

Not necessarily. Your passport plus the ARC application receipt is generally accepted while the card is being issued. Waiting for the physical card is risky because the 6 month arrival window keeps running. Confirm current ARC processing times through HiKorea, and start clearance with your broker as soon as the shipment lands.

Can I get cancer screening in Korea on a D-2 student visa?

Yes, if you're enrolled in NHIS. Foreign students staying six months or longer are enrolled as local subscribers and receive the same National Cancer Screening Program entitlement as Korean subscribers. For most students under 40, that means cervical cancer screening from age 20, every two years. Your premiums must be current for benefits to apply.

Do I need a Korean driver's license to get my car inspected?

No. The inspection tests the vehicle, not the driver. You need the vehicle registration certificate and your ARC as identification. That said, you must hold a valid license to drive the car to the center. If your international driving permit has expired, have someone with a valid Korean license drive it there with a delegation letter.
